2014-April 28 : Candle Light Service

Another evening to have such great service for the Candle light service. As we brought together with our scouts and our families together to join for this beautiful ceremony. For those who has never been involved in a candlelight service, it was a special treat.

The cub scouts sing a song, the boy scouts sing a song, Timothy Chiu did several things (say the opening prayer, closing prayer, and say a praise/prayer), Alexander said a praise/prayer, and Matthew said a prayer in Hebrew.  Parent’s and family members were encouraged come to this service.  The candlelight service begin 7:30pm to 8:30pm.  The candlelighting was near the end of the service.  Scouts  wore Class A uniform, including neckerchief and slide.  Benches was all set up.

As our Cub Scout sang:

This Little Light of Mine

(TIGER/WOLF) This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
(BEAR/WEBELOS) This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
(ALL)This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
(ALL) Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

Chorus:
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

Light that shines is the light of love,
Hides the darkness from above,
Shines on me and it shines on you,
Shows you what the power of love can do.
Shine my light both bright and clear,
Shine my light both far and near,
In every dark corner that I find,
Let my little light shine.

Chorus:
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
(Chorus)
Monday gave me the gift of love,
Tuesday peace came from above,
Wednesday told me to have more faith,
Thursday gave me a little more grace,
Friday told me to watch and pray,
Saturday told me just what to say,
Sunday gave me the power divine
To let my little light shine.

Chorus:
(ALL) This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
(TIGER/WOLF) This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
(BEAR/WEBELOS) This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
(ALL) Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine (ALL) Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine

it was a remarkable night
